NoPo’s Portsmouth Club closed last week, which means there’s one fewer hip-hop venue in town, bringing the grand total to -4. The club will reopen under a new owner, Chris Penner, as a neighborhood bar featuring jazz and blues artists. Is there even a place for hip-hop in this town anymore?
