i watched dig! just like you did when it came out 5 years ago…i got a life bro…what i do doesnt matter..what matters is the state of music today…its funny cause when i was in high school before nirvana broke…wearing vans and likeing bands like the cure and joy division was the most uncoolest thing..i used to sit in my bedroom thinking to myself with my vans in my hand..”man do i really feel like getting fucked with all day cause i dont have on white leather shoes”…im not saying im cooler than you..im just saying ive always been myself…i just wonder how many of these indie kids would be into the cure if they grew up when i did…i bet half would be the fucks making fun of my shoes or whatever…all im really saying is be yourself…if music is in your soul…then rock…keep it real…dont ever sell out..start a movement…there is a long standing conversation among my peers where we wonder if kurt cobain accidently did all this…the gentrification..the corporate bs..is that why he killed himself? did he know in 2008 there would be converse ads with his pic in them? did he know those secret dirty little parts of every city would soon be discovered and gentrified by posuers? cause before nirvana i was getting fucked with for being myself..now post nirvana…all i do is see fucking posuer toolsboxes pretending to be artiste…first thursday in the pearl!

Hey, thanks for your interest in the casting. The casting call that was prematurely posted on myspace and craig’s list was actually a rough draft (hence the spelling errors etc.) and had yet to be corrected. Here’s what the post should have said:

Casting call: Extras – Music Video for Starfucker

Casting Men and Women in a music video for the band Starfucker. Especially looking to cast 3 body doubles for the guys in the band (caucasian, slender men height 5â€²9â€³ to 6â€²0â€³ and pant size 30 to 32 waist.)

Please appear to be ages 18 to 30.

Bring two changes of clothes and accessories.

Be dressed for a summer night and going to a live music show of a Portland band.

Don’t hesitate to show a sense of style and have fun with it, this is a music video!
Wear dark colors – black – as a base color. Add accessories in solid colors or subtle prints. (orange, blue, green and pink are ok. no red or stripes)

Call time is 8am on July 15th. We need you from 8am till 3pm. This is negotiable if you are able to stay for at least 4 hrs. Please be on time, upbeat, positive and able to take direction.

Send your photo to s.musicvideo at yahoo dot com and the casting director will respond with our location.

Meals, the chance for future paid work and a fun experience will be provided.

casey, you should’ve just not admitted to the tracing thing…if you put yr drawing in a side by side comparison with the starfucker press photo, put it in yr portfolio, mail it to fox, get hired to do background characters for the simpsons, and draw in portland bands in every episode… pierced arrows drinking at moe’s or dat’r as professor frink’s lab assistants!!!!!
