Taking lead single “Mirando” from Ratatat’s expertly-titled third album LP3 (that dropped the same night as the Brooklynites’ show at Holocene), YACHT comes up with a remix that sounds like a bootleg Ratatat remix itself. YACHT’s take on “Mirando” mirrors the brand of remixes the duo pedal themselves: hip-hop vocals over a foundation of its own signature guitar chords. A Raratat remix as inspired by Ratatat. Clever one, Jona!

Also clever—Jona’s Catch that Beat fest this Saturday, August 9th in Astoria with White Fang, Valet, E*Rock, Grouper, White Rainbow and others. There’s a location change in the air, but no address as of yet, so good luck finding it! In the wise words of LocalCut contributer Arya Imig: “Just follow the bandannas.”
