Slabtown Hosts PDX Record Label Flea Market

fleamarketHaving trouble finding something to buy for your rebellious 16-year-old nephew who’s too awkward to make the basketball team and wouldn’t touch American Eagle with a 10 foot pole? Just in time for the holidays, the local proprietors of all things garage rock at Slabtown are hosting a “flea market” style Rock ‘n’ Shop on December 13th. A host of local labels will be around, selling their releases while a few bands (the list is still TBA) play in the background. And the whole thing is free! If you’ve been holding off on buying a copy of, say, Nick Jaina’s A Narrow Way on vinyl, or that elusive Kill Rock Stars seven inch, then this is your best shot before the holiday well runs dry. Because, you know, the only thing I want more than some killer vinyl this year is a chance to own a piece of the ultimate fantasy football team.

List of confirmed labels:
Beginning Era Records
Bladen County Records
Boy Gorilla Records
Crash Assailant Records
Cravedog
Dirtnap Records
Felony Fidelity Records
Green Noise Records
Hovercraft
In Music We Trust
Jealous Butcher Records
Kill Rock Stars
King of Hearts Records
PDX Pop Now
Reverb Records
