Los Angeles was my home from 2000 to 2005. Like it or not, it will be my home tonight.

James brown has decided that we should not go to our show in San Diego but rather hang out in the parking lot of “Super European Automotive” here in Nniversal City. We need a carburetor rebuild which will be done by 5 pm tomorrow just before the Long Beach show tomorrow evening. We knew something was wrong when we were topping out at 25 mph last night after the Silverlake Lounge show…Jesse from Worlds Greatest Ghosts confirmed that we should definitely take the van to a technician and that carburetors are not to be trifled with (he’s a wiz at old Ford vans).

So currently us and all our shit are waiting for my friend Guido to come in the starving daughters van. Kinda going crazy (see vid).

The Silverlake Lounge show last night was so good. Definitely the most well attended Wed. night show we have ever played. Go West Young Man, French Semester, and Marvelous Toys were all such amazing pop bands that I highly recommend checking out. On stage sound was wack but the crowd was energetic and piggy backing and ass kicking was had by many. We played our new song “Shake” better than we have all tour. The response was actually somewhat overwhelming and completely unexpected. It felt so good to have the show go well as this is our 4th show in L.A. in a year and though we generally have a lot of friends out, there are few things more disappointing to a pop musician than a bad L.A. show.

Also it was my birthday.

So lotsa good, some bad. Spirits aint down just the cash level.
