The good folks behind PDX Pop Now! have slowly been leaking information on the 2009 festival all spring, and now we have the final piece of the pie: the complete lineup with set times for the fest. And dang, it sure looks impressive laid out. The finale on Sunday night might be the biggest set of heavy hitters (Menomena! The Shaky Hands! Au! Nurses!) since PPN started in 2004. I’m still trying to get out of a friends wedding on Sunday afternoon so I can attempt another marathon weekend of seeing every single band. See you in less than two weeks! If you can’t wait that long, peep PPN’s city hall show this Thursday, where YACHT, Point Juncture, WA and Y La Bamba will play for free starting at 5:30 pm—just in time for the downtown suits to get out of work. hey dudes i’ve been working lots of extra hours saving to release 2 new solo records and working on demos for a new david axelrod rip off type record, but i couldn’t help myself… i had to chop up the new pdx pop now compilation.

i sampled only the new 2 disc comp and scratched on 2 records from portland (a blazers highlights album and a tourism board record from decades ago).
