Ramona Falls’ (Brent Knopf of Menomena) Album Art Totally Rules
You’ve seen Theo Ellsworth’s art. He’s been at galleries (and, occasionally, coffee shops) throughout town. Maybe you saw his zines, or the book he collected them in. It’s cool stuff: beautiful sharp textures covering the complicated machinery of creatures both organic and mechanical. Ellsworth’s work is a natural fit for posters and album art, and the illustration he did for Ramona Falls forthcoming disc—out August 18 on Barsuk—proves that point. It’s the kind of thing that sells album covers.
Oh, this song, “Russia,” isn’t bad, either! We’re pretty stoked on Brent’s debut. More on that soon.
