IMHO, Peter DeFazio would make a great senator. He walks his talk, and doesn’t backpedal. Draft him. Get rid of Gordon.
Normally I would be a DeFazio supporter…especially considering getting Smith out of office should be a priority for all Oregonians,but DeFazio’s vote to accept the 911 commissions recomendations in their entirety really turned me off.I believe that the Patriot Act is anything but patriotic..Still,many Dems voted for that piece of crap..except for Wu (surprised me too)I’d vote for Wu simply because he voted against it….I’d still vote for DeFazio over Smith…but my support for the Dems has really slipped a few rungs.
Are there any “Champions of Freedom” left?If so,I’ll vote for them.
