This photo is now officially kind of hilarious.

There’s not much we can add at Willamette Week World Headquarters to the shockwaves emanating from New York, where Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been identified by Federal sources as a patron of Emperors Club VIP, which we understand serves a terrific $75 glass of Chardonnay. But, upon reading that the domains names clientnumber9.com and clientnumbernine.com have already been sold to entrepreneurial sorts, we’d like to be the first to suggest that “Client Number 9″ is the new catchphrase of 2008, replacing the slightly shopworn “I drink your milkshake!” The new phrase can be used in any number of ways, but we think it’s best as a synonym for “fool,” as in “Check yo’self, Client Number 9!” or “I drink your milkshake, Client Number 9!”

Other suggested usages are, naturally, welcome.

All eyes are on Spitzer, because we have a SEX Scandal. So NOW is the time to be looking around to see what else is going on, what else is about to be slipped by the American people.
And LOOK, congress is about to soften it’s stance on FISA IMMUNITY!
So once again the Democrats seem to be wearing down and giving ground to the Bush administrations push to give the telecom companies immunity. No, no, no. These telecom monopolies have a broken the laws of our Constitution, for profit from our government. This cannot be allowed to happen, the crimes MUST be fully investigated, and the top government officials that sanctioned this, before 9-11 and after, must be exposed and then prosecuted. To let them get away with this undermines the very fabric of our Constitution.
I draw a weekly political comic strip from here in Portland, that very few people see, where I deal with this and outer under reported topics, FISA Immunity is my latest, it’s up on my website now.
