Lake Oswego’s own retired Air Force Gen. Merrill “Tony” McPeak has surfaced in this AP photo.
McPeak, a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the first Gulf War, was among the military officials trying to boost Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s credibility as commander-in-chief at a press conference yesterday. (That’s him at the right side of the photo.)
The AP photo cutline:

As first revealed in WW, McPeak began campaigning for Obama last year and is now a co-chairman of his national campaign. Check out McPeak pitching Obama in a TV commercial here.
