Whoa, flashback.
Portland City Council candidate Charles Lewis has a new ad that’ll start airing tonight during The Daily Show/Colbert Report.
If you’re too young to remember those old Rainier Beer commercials, it won’t make sense. Even if you do remember ‘em, you might question Lewis’ approach, here.
Like a cheap domestic brew, this ad is substance-free. Check it out:

You know…Lewis may be on to something. After all, somebody did take the time and effort to upload a decades-old beer commercial into YouTube, because it was that important.
But will that person vote? Should he?

My favorite part about Chuck’s campaign is how his fancy Flash Web ads are all about taking big money out of Portland politics. In other words, just like all but one of his five opponents, he’s running with public campaign funds.
Wonder how this new focus sits with his number one fan, BoJack?
Correction Steve…Amanda is running with public funds in addition to the $4000 she pumped into her own campaign. If a $4000 contribution doesn’t qualify as big money I don’t know what does. Must be nice to have a loaded husband.
