Really, does the girl ever stop?

Willamette Week was the first to tell you about Tacee Webb and this big news.
Now comes exclusive word that the petite purveyor of all things fashion has snagged her self a high-profile “friend” to help her out at her upcoming Fashion Camp to be held both in Portland and Los Angeles.
And we aren’t the only ones who think the fella is a winner.

Fashion designer Jeffrey Sebelia has designed for the likes of celebrity clients such as Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, and drummer Tommy Lee. But he’s perhaps best known for being the winner of the third season of Project Runway. According to Webb, who has become eversoclose to the designer in recent weeks, Sebelia will share his sartorial skills with the kids who participate in both the Portland and L.A. camps, as well as help the kids with the big fashion show finale. It’s a coup for Webb and her crew, and we’re positive the tattooed wonder will have plenty to share with the “campers”—but somehow, we can’t see him screaming “Make it work!” to a group of tiny tots and tweeners.

In other Webb-related news, in a story in last Thursday’s Variety, unveiling the Weinstein Bros’ plans to take over television, it was officially announced that Webb’s other project, Lovecraft Bio-fuels, will be the subject of it’s own “reality show.” According to the story by Michael Schneider, “‘Lovecraft’ will follow the world of Tacee Webb, a businesswoman involved with fashion retailer American Apparel, as well as Lovecraft Biofuels, the Silver Lake company [she's also part of the Portland operations] that helps cars convert vegetable oil into fuel. Bill and Rene Rainey (”Punk’d”) will produce.” Webb confirmed the story, but didn’t give word on what network it will appear.

Like we’ve said before, she’s super-busy.

I hope lovecraft finds great success and that the children enjoy their time at fashion camp!

  7. Betty says:

Really with all the talented people in Portland why do we need someone else to help kids. These kids need to learn sewing skills not be told how to make it work.
And why do all the SAME people get the SAME press. Can anyone step outside of the little box and cover real people doing amazing things right in this city that rarely get a mention. Not exclamation point needed.
