Some Oregon Democrats hope former Gov. John Kitzhaber makes another run at Mahonia Hall in 2010 (while he was term-limited after occupying the governor’s mansion from 1994-2002, he’s now eligible to run again).

Others — especially those who want to be governor (about half the state) — hope he stays in private life. Or as this New York Times story suggests, goes to work in Washington, D.C. as Interior Secretary for the Oregon State University basketball coach’s brother-in-law.

Then again, maybe he’s interested in staying home.
