Being broke sucks.  However, it does give one more impetus for seeking out free stuff. Our most recent find for the financially challenged is free admission to the Oregon Zoo on Monday, Jan. 19, in honor of MLK Day. Just when you were wondering what to do with the kids on their day off, take ‘em to see the baby elephant and swear that you will throw them in the lion exhibit if they misbehave. And for those not chasing around a gaggle of whiny little ones? Make fun of the monkeys to your heart’s content (or until they start throwing poo). At 51 degrees and sunny with no chance of precipitation, it should be a nice day to get outside and not spend any of the money you don’t have.
