Yes, we all know and love Crafty Wonderland. But if there is one thing the Doug Fir is missing, it’s Le Bistro Montage’s addictive spold mac & cheese, preferably with leftovers encased in a frivolous foil concoction that is too tall to fit in your passenger side seat.

Montage’s Amber Newby and Lauren Sheets are set to fix that. At their Le Bistro Bazaar next Saturday, May 2, vendors will bring wares like books, magazines and knick-knacks for sale. Items are usually in the $1-$10 price range, with vendors open for that good old-fashioned system of barter (we would not try unloading bags of wheat or bullets, however).

DJ Frankeyh will be test-driving any and all old records, and raffle tickets will be sold to distribute vendor donations. There will also be drinks. Many, many drinks. Because it would not be Montage without drinks. Montage’s bar, Le Merde, will be open and serving the happy hour menu. Including the spold. Obviously.

The event press release indicates that the Bazaar, which is quarterly right now, might transition to being a monthly event because it’s SO DARN POPULAR. And hopefully it will. Because the only thing that would improve my monthly knick-knacking would be if I could do it with a mimosa in either hand. Mmmm.

Le Bistro Bazaar, Saturday, May 2, 11 am-4 pm, 301 SE Morrison Ave, 234-1324. Free. Vendors who wish to participate can contact Amber Newby at ambernewby at gmail dot com, or Lauren at sendingletters at gmail.com.
