Just about everybody I spoke to at the Capitol yesterday said the same thing: nothing big will happen until the May 15 revenue forecast. At that point lawmakers will will take chainsaws, axes and other sharp instruments and carve up programs to address what many expect will be up to a $5 billion hole in the 2009-2011 budget.
In fact the most interesting thing that happened yesterday was two veteran lobbyists flapping about the building in chicken suits.
