A coalition called Health Care For America Now announced today that it is spending $1.1 million to broadcast a health care ad campaign in 10 states over the next 10 days, with the version on our airwaves tailored to target Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.).
Wyden has become one of the leading players in the health care debate with a plan he’s been shopping for a good while. And this ad campaign is the latest example of how he has ticked off unions and other usual allies of the Democratic Party.
Among the powerful groups unhappy with Wyden — and pressing for a public health insurance option — are coalition members such as the AFL-CIO, AFSCME, the Communications Workers of America, MoveOn.org, National Education Association, and SEIU,
