Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte—with no formal training and only four years into their formerly home-based fashion business—picked up top honors in womenswear design at the CFDA Awards last night. Tracey Ullman hosted the event, with just the right amount of self-consciousness and irony. Because Tracey rules. And so do Kate and Laura Mulleavy. Just think—you could be only four years away from being voted best womenswear designer.
